Like most people, I too was pulled in by the hype for this game when it was announced and even went as far as to pre-order it (something I never do), completely ready to become an intrepid explorer in the wilds of space. I was pumped to side with one of the possible factions or go it alone as a pirate, in large scale space conflict mixed with Star Trek-esque planetside exploring. It burned like hell that all these features were barely even skin deep and the game did not deliver on many of the promised features. Two years on though, it refuses to die.

It's been a horrible and disturbing situation for some time, rumours of mistreatment by carers and business partners, with some allegedly taking advantage of the legend who is currently 95 years of age and revered the world over for his sweeping influences on our current culture. This came to a head recently when the man himself took to Twitter and has begun to take legal action against those that have wronged him. It's a story that will make you furious and resolute at the same time.
Now, the header for this piece is something seemingly most people have known for a while but hey, cut me some slack, I'm slow at discovering new things. Seeking out the unfamiliar takes a lot of working up to, y'know? Over the last week and a bit I've been introduced to the multi-talented aspects of the man who we'll all soon see as young Lando and god damn, he's got a lot going on, and all of it is brilliant.
It happened, the meteor has landed and has caused quite a bit of chaos for the open of Season 4. It didn't hit Tilted Towers as speculated by ourselves and about 98% of the internet, which goes to show you that you shouldn't trust everything you read online kids! That being said the things that the event has shook up and the new feel and content inclusions going in to Season 4 have me pretty pumped for the game as there's more reason to return to the island than ever before. What exactly am I looking forward to, because it isn't winning...
There have been plenty of articles in favour of the newest instalment of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, you can't go online at the minute without tripping over a few dozen and then proceeding to fall head first into a spoiler trap. There have also been several scathing pieces about comic book film fatigue, James Cameron even stuck the boot in recently (but Avatar was actual toilet in my opinion). This piece is neither the former or the latter and I only put it together to better understand what I've got going on in my mind because for the first time ever, I have no desire to go to the cinema to see this. Don't worry, no spoilers whatsoever ahead.
AOT is one of the biggest anime franchises that is consumed by the west. If you go to any convention you'd be hard pushed to miss the Scout Regiment jackets, they were everywhere for a time. Attack on Titan has been off the air now for a little while however but, as Doctor Farnsworth was known to say, good news everyone. The show is due to return in July of this year and Funimation have picked up the distribution rights. This is good news for me, they are my anime streaming platform of choice for their selection of dubbed content,

Despite their push into the UK market with their convention event RTX debuting in London last year and the recent addition of 'The Inbetweeners' actor James Buckley into their Let's Play network, even I, as a die hard fan, did not see this coming. Not only is RTX returning to the UK for a second year but Rooster Teeth have announced that they are opening a UK branch of their company and are on the look out for talent. If I thought I'd have a chance I'd apply as it's a dream job, but what exactly will the London office be doing?
It wasn't until a recent BBQ that I realised how prevalent home automation is. Personally, not having an investment in the modern wave of smart assistant technology, I'm the type of person who uses Siri ironically to ask who invented farts or to try and get it to recite the Night's Watch Oath, and someone who disconnected his Xbox Kinect on day one to use it as a door stop. Hearing from over a neighbour's fence, 'Alexa, play Cardi B' brought me to the realisation that I'm in the minority, and Amazon sure know that.
